8 tips for being organized at the office

Coming home from work tired and unsatisfied is not inevitable! Some factors responsible for this feeling, unclear directives, absurd requests, do not depend on you. However, you can act on your own organization of task processing. A few keys to optimize it.

Make a list
Not very original, of course, but the method has proven itself in organizing chaos! All means are good, on a computer, on paper, hung on the wall, use colors, draw, use symbols. Two watchwords, that this list looks like you and that it is exhaustive.

Play it straight

Once the list is established, play it straight with yourself. Ask yourself for each task if you like it or not. If you had never asked yourself the question, listen to your feelings, it's your moment of truth.

Classify
If you don't like doing certain things and keep putting them off, in short, if you procrastinate, it may be that you don't master their completion. So don't be shy, classify the tasks according to their degree of ease for you. This is an opportunity to realize that you excel in certain areas and to point out your areas for progress.

Clarify
At this stage, you may have identified the black sheep of your day or your work week. Look for solutions: ask for clarification from your boss, your colleagues, your friends, see how others do it, use the internet. Again, go for it, it's about breaking the abscesses and simplifying your life.

Rediscover meaning
Take a moment to put your tasks, even the smallest ones, into perspective. What is the use of this action in relation to my mission, my objectives, on the scale of my department or the company? This reflection will allow you to reconcile yourself with certain tasks, to transform them to make them more efficient, or even to eliminate some that prove unnecessary.

Adopt the right mental attitude: you decide!
Before tackling the planning, consider it as a space of freedom rather than constraint. Test your optimal efficiency hours, assign tasks accordingly. And change! Just for fun and because you have the power.

Plan

Writing down tasks on a schedule has the advantage of getting them out of your head. You gain peace of mind and lose stress. To be effective, it must be done on Friday evening for Monday morning. Ideally, make a weekly schedule that you will review each day. And when a task is completed, cross it off and celebrate!

Accept the unexpected!
There will probably be something that will disrupt your well-thought-out organization. Accept it! And if it really bothers you, go back to the "rediscover meaning" step, this will allow you to no longer see this unexpected event as a nuisance but as an opportunity to contribute.
