You're tempted to see if the grass is greener elsewhere... Yes, but be careful! We always know what we're losing, but never really what we're gaining... Too much haste can hinder your judgment. To best negotiate this professional turn, here are some practical tips from Fabrice Coudray, director of the Robert Half recruitment firm.

1. First piece of advice: don't rush.
"Of course, sometimes it's necessary to make a quick decision so as not to miss an opportunity. But be structured and methodical in your thinking and try to have a short, medium and long-term vision!" insists Fabrice Coudray, director of the Robert Half recruitment firm, "A decision made too hastily can be regretted. So don't confuse speed and haste". Before considering changing jobs, this specialist therefore recommends carefully studying the following points:

Is the grass really greener elsewhere?
If you are currently satisfied with your job, what will be different tomorrow? Why do you feel the need to change jobs? To what extent will a new position meet your expectations? What do you hope for?

Will you have the opportunity to evolve?
When considering new positions, ask yourself what your opportunities for advancement will be and within what timeframe. Because you may very quickly fall into the same traps as those you currently know. So anticipate and have a global vision!

Were you a "good" student?
Have you found out about the company? Is its financial situation good? What are its values? Its reputation? Does its corporate culture suit you?

Once these three points have been validated, you are ready for a new adventure!
