Analysis of HR trends in 2015, a study conducted by Rekrute.com, highlights the dynamism created by the offshoring sector in terms of job creation in Morocco. Furthermore, the study reveals that national companies prefer to recruit junior profiles, to the detriment of seniors, who represent a heavy investment for economic operators.
The survey, conducted by Rekrute.com on employment trends in 2015, highlights 3 key facts. First, that the offshoring sector continues to boost the job market in Morocco. The study reveals a sharp increase in demand for junior profiles to the detriment of more experienced profiles. Finally, HR functions and those related to quality and industrial production are among the top 10 functions most sought after by recruiters. 2015 was not the best year in terms of recruitment.
We can say that the Moroccan job market was literally "saved" by the offshoring sector. Furthermore, demand for senior profiles has declined sharply compared to previous years; companies think twice before investing in an experienced profile given the heavy investment involved. "In terms of the most sought-after functions, HR and industrial production are in high demand. This indicates, on the one hand, that Moroccan companies are beginning to structure themselves; and on the other hand, that real dynamism is being created by new global professions (automotive, aeronautics)," explains Alexandra Montant, CEO of Rekrute.com. In figures, call center jobs account for 36% of the total functions requested by recruiters. IT comes in second, with 20% of the positions sought. As for commercial and HR functions, they respectively account for 12% and 6% of the positions requested. Regarding the profiles sought, the study reveals an enthusiasm for junior profiles. Indeed, profiles with less than one year of experience saw a 5.51% increase in 2015.
This trend, already observed in 2014, continues. With 26.77%, down 5.08% from 2014, profiles with one to three years of experience remain the most sought after in 2015. In terms of academic background, companies continue to favor bac+5 (Master's degree) with 33.33% of their total demand, followed by the bac+2 level (Associate's degree), which, at 30.22%, shows a slight increase of 3.11% compared to 2014. Rekrute.com also indicates that the volume of advertisements published on its site increased by 30%. Nevertheless, the company notes a slight decrease in the number of positions offered by almost 4% compared to 2014. This last number reached 73,938 positions last year.
