Gain Dynamism and Confidence with "Learning Challenges"!

It's common to face periods of self-doubt, low energy, and lack of motivation. Setting "learning challenges"* is an original and effective way to regain dynamism and self-esteem!

What exactly are they? The idea is to set a personal goal, defining the different steps in advance, and whose completion will span several weeks, or even several months.

I successfully use this technique to restore confidence and get people I support back into action. I help them formulate a goal that is meaningful to them, set the steps for achieving it, integrate them into their schedule, and follow the progress until the final success. It's a joyful moment each time. And everyone comes out feeling fulfilled, confident, and ready to conquer the world!

The 5 Key Ideas of a Learning Challenge
1. You choose your challenge: you have a subject based on your needs, desires, and dreams.
2. You progress at your own pace: you set the overall deadline and intermediate steps.
3. By completing this challenge, you will naturally expand your knowledge and skills, and meet new people.
4. By planning and acting at each step, you will act, build, and progress: so many beneficial internal dynamics for your body and morale.
5. By progressing towards the ultimate goal, you will discover unexplored resources: it's a real encounter with yourself. You will ultimately be proud of the work accomplished. A real booster for self-esteem and confidence!

11 Learning Challenge Ideas
For example, you could decide to take the TOEIC, prepare for the next New York marathon, learn software on your own, create an association, compete in your favorite sport, sign up for yoga, landscape your own garden, become a Scrabble champion, create a blog and keep it updated, read the complete works of an author, or write a book!
You can also decide to... (your project)!

The 7 Golden Rules for Succeeding in Your Challenge
1. Be as precise as possible in your formulation: "I want to achieve the following result: ..."
2. Set a time limit, avoid goals longer than 12 months.
3. List all intermediate steps.
4. List the necessary resources and needs (material, financial, help from others...).
5. Super important: encourage yourself, celebrate each successful step, no matter how small.
6. Dedicate a specific time in your schedule: certain hours, certain days, certain days off…
7. Dedicate 100% of your energy and attention when working on this goal!

Put this article aside and think (tonight, for example?) about the project that would be meaningful to you. Set a completion date (and visualize yourself in the situation where you have achieved the goal) and start imagining the steps. And you will see that the magic will operate immediately... It's guaranteed! It's worth a try, isn't it?
