- What do you appreciate most about your job?
HR functions can be summarized in four main missions: implementing the company's strategy, supporting change within the company, developing employee motivation, and efficient administration. For me, what I appreciate most about this function is listening to, advising, and supporting human resources in their personal development.
- Which personality has had the greatest impact on you over the last two centuries, and why?
The personality that has impacted me is the current President of the USA: Barack Obama, with his famous slogan "YES WE CAN". We must make our earth a better world to live in harmony. We must help each other and give our best. YES we can do it. YES we can succeed, because everything is possible.
As an HR director, what do you expect from young candidates? - What qualities do you appreciate in a candidate?
Young recruits are part of Generation Y. They are at the forefront of technology and constantly on the lookout, except that they are ambitious and want to achieve their goals quickly. They have the will to climb the ladder at a rapid pace, need change and cannot stand not evolving quickly. They expect quick recognition and will not wait years for promotion opportunities. They decide the future, not the company. They often have personal projects outside of work and do not hesitate to leave one company for another. Therefore, the notion of loyalty is not very present in their minds. Moreover, they are rebellious towards authority, and have a misunderstanding of the need for punctuality. They are independent towards the employer, that is to say, the company must have something to offer them, and not the other way around. They need a coach, a mentor, not a hierarchical superior. And finally, they intend to move forward alone and have someone to rely on if it doesn't work.
As an HR director, we must take this new situation into account and adapt to market changes. Experience, interpersonal skills, having a life goal, and knowing how to grow are my expectations of young people. Self-confidence and the desire to learn are also qualities I look for in a candidate.
What forms your first impression of a candidate?
The purpose of a job interview is to better understand the candidate's educational background, knowledge, professional experience, private life, etc., but also their personality (when there are tests). The candidate must clearly explain their choices, background, and motivations. The first 5 minutes of the interview are crucial, and the candidate must make a good impression.
With equal competence, what allows you to decide?
In a recruitment interview, the HR director reviews the candidate's knowledge, including culture and general training; skills and expertise; and interpersonal skills, revealed by behavior and personality. For me, what will make the difference is the "Savoir devenir" (ability to develop/become): a professional project, motivations, and also the recruiter's intuition.
What advice do you give to Generation Y?
- Accept the trust agreement between this generation and the company.
- Also accept the company's integration program and have a mentor with whom Generation Y will exchange ideas, who will help them understand the company culture. This is mentoring. PATIENCE is also recommended for success.
What mistake should be avoided during a job interview?
A job interview with a recruiter can be a positive or negative experience. It all depends on the candidate's preparation, motivations, and character. Preparing your argument, knowing how to present yourself, and not cheating are essential elements, and the mistake to avoid is LYING.

HIS OPINION ON THE LABOR CODE
Strengths
• The enactment of the code has provided the country with a modern, investor-attractive code; it also brings together all the texts in a single document.
• The main provisions of the code are to comply with the provisions on human rights and constitutional rights and freedoms, and with the international labor conventions ratified by Morocco, to put in place the conditions for improving the work environment, and finally to organize and develop social dialogue between the different actors. The labor code remains a legal minimum for all employees and all companies.
Weaknesses
• Unfortunately, the code is not applied by all companies. It is vague in certain areas and imprecise in interpretations. The specificity of the agricultural sector is not well clarified, particularly regarding seniority, for example. It remains incomplete because it does not cover everyone (for example, domestic workers and employees in traditional crafts).
