Moroccan Gadz’arts Association Works to Bring Graduates Back Home

A special group has been created to connect Arts et Métiers engineers and Moroccan recruiters. This will help young engineers settle in Morocco.

Moroccan Gadz’arts continue to work towards bringing Moroccan skills back from abroad. In this spirit, the Arts et Métiers ParisTech Engineers Group of Morocco, chaired by Samir Oudghiri Idrissi, CEO of Lesieur Cristal, held its annual meeting. This year’s theme was "Managing Diaspora Talent in Morocco: Opportunities and Challenges."

More than 60 people attended the meeting. They included students in their final year of school, alumni in leadership positions, and numerous recruiters.

"We are proud to welcome the new generation of Moroccan Gadz’arts and to present them with the opportunities available in their country," said Mr. Oudghiri Idrissi in a press release following the event.

To support Moroccan graduates of the Arts et Métiers school in returning home, the group presented its "Employment-Career" cell. This specially created cell connects Arts et Métiers engineers with Moroccan recruiters. It helps young engineers settle in Morocco by supporting their job/internship searches and advising them on their job search (targeting companies, CV review and correction, interview preparation, etc.).

"Over time, we have built strong intergenerational ties within the Gadz’arts community. Beyond strengthening these ties, this annual meeting allows us to better introduce Moroccan professionals to Arts et Métiers ParisTech training and its latest developments," explained Mr. Oudghiri Idrissi.

He continued: "It’s also an opportunity to encourage these young engineers to return to their country to contribute to its development by offering them real career opportunities."

Several HR directors from major companies attended this now-traditional meeting. Several renowned Moroccan executive recruiters also participated, sharing their expertise and experience with future engineers.

Attendees included Mohamed El Baraka, Deputy CEO in charge of human capital at Lesieur Cristal; El Othmani from ORH Consulting; Bilal Essaid from DIORH Consulting; Boualem Kadi from Michael Page; Abla Benabdellah, HR Director of SNI; Hicham Zouanat, HR Director of Danone; and Abdelkrim Guerguachi, HR Director of BMCI.
