53% of women received training between 2007 and 2014.
The Education for Employment Foundation (EFE-Morocco) held a roundtable discussion last Tuesday in Casablanca on the theme "The importance of self-knowledge and employability of young people," in the presence of institutional partners, associative actors and businesses committed to youth employability.
EFE-Morocco officials, whose main mission is to create a concrete link between young people and businesses, took this opportunity to review the programs offered by the institution over the past eight years.
It should be recalled that between 2007 and 2014, the Foundation implemented various training programs adapted to the skills needs of businesses, in order to ensure that young people successfully integrate into the professional world and achieve both personal and professional fulfillment.
Speaking on this subject, EFE-Morocco officials indicated that more than 14,250 Moroccans, 53% of whom were women, benefited from the training provided by the Foundation during this period, with an acceptance rate of 52% (according to the selection criteria).
According to them, 12,475 young people were favorably welcomed with a success rate of around 96%, a placement rate in companies of 70% and a retention rate of 90%.
"For young people, business training has been adapted, including the launch of the "Salesforce adapted to the retail sector" program, and the "Business French" program conducted in collaboration with the French Institute of Casablanca," it was learned at this meeting.
Continuing their presentation, the speakers were pleased to note that approximately 2,000 graduates had engaged in citizenship activities, beyond their new professional activities.
To give all young people in the Kingdom the same chance, the Foundation's managers indicated that they had invested in new cities and localities including Marrakech, El Jadida, Tangier, Benslimane, among others.
Generally satisfied with the results obtained since the launch of the organization's programs, its members generally indicated that EFE-Morocco graduates hold positions at different levels in a range of sectors: banking and finance, air transport, hotels and restaurants, large-scale distribution, industry, services, call centers, telecoms, automotive, ministries and public administrations, among others.
"The best way for us was to understand the needs, to put in place appropriate programs matching market needs and the shortcomings of young people, to provide them with quality trainers and to give them the tools and means to convince the employer and keep their job," rejoiced Naoual Bakry, director of operations at this NGO.
A member of the international EFE network (Education for employment), "EFE-Morocco works to contribute to increasing the income of the partner company by providing high-performing human resources; reducing the gap between the expectations of companies and the profile of candidates; supporting our graduates by providing them with the necessary support for the success of their careers, and identifying and training qualified human capital by improving the skills of young people," recalls the NGO.
Apart from all these missions, the NGO is also involved in developing partnerships between the public and private sectors in order to implement training-employment programs that contribute to improving the skills of young people while meeting the needs and requirements of businesses.
It should be noted that this meeting ended with a ceremony to present certificates to the young graduates of the foundation.
