In a few days, the pilot project "Programming for the Future" will enter its second year of execution in Morocco.
Launched in October 2013 by EFE Morocco, an international NGO specializing in training and support for unemployed graduates, this program aims to strengthen the employability of young people in the information technology sector. And therefore, to improve the integration of young people into the job market.
This program is part of a larger project aimed at supporting 180 young people across six countries to improve their employability in the information technology sector.
51 young Moroccans were able to benefit from a comprehensive training program to acquire additional skills in the IT sector and subsequently enter the job market with all the advantages on their side.
This free training program consists of providing or strengthening their "technological and behavioral skills necessary for successful integration" into this sector.
It should be noted that this training was provided by certified technology trainers (.net and Java) as well as experts from the EFE Morocco Foundation.
It should be recalled that this program as a whole aims to strengthen the technical and behavioral skills of tomorrow's workers.
One year after its launch, with the joint support of the Mastercard and Accenture Foundations, the pilot project shows a rather positive and encouraging assessment, emphasize its promoters. According to them, the "Programming for the future" pilot project has, to date, achieved an integration rate of nearly 80% of the 51 beneficiaries. The rest are still in pre-hiring internships, they specify.
"The integration rate of program beneficiaries within Moroccan companies is a source of satisfaction," rejoices Myriam Kadmiri. For the general director of EFE Morocco, this rate "confirms the qualitative value of the training."
To this reason for satisfaction, we must add that noted by the companies which, notes EFE Morocco, have welcomed and hired beneficiaries of the program.
Following the success encountered this year, EFE Morocco announces that it intends to renew this experience but on a larger scale, thanks to the support of national and international organizations.
Furthermore, and according to its director, EFE Morocco is currently finalizing partnership agreements that will allow this institution to diversify training modules (ITO, BPO...) and thus meet the current and future needs of the job market in the IT sectors.
Regarding the number of beneficiaries, it is also a question of increasing their number to at least 120 beneficiaries nationwide.
By making employment more than a priority, but a vocation, EFE Morocco works daily to put in place important levers likely to facilitate the professional integration of young graduates by providing them voluntarily with the tools, qualifications or missing experience.
The Moroccan Foundation for Education for Employment is a subsidiary of Education for Employment Foundation, a non-profit international NGO that works to improve employment opportunities for young job seekers in the Middle East and North Africa.
Present in Casablanca, Rabat, El Jadida, Tangier Tetouan, Asilah, Doukkala and Abda, EFE Morocco works daily to put in place important levers that can facilitate the professional integration of young graduates by providing them voluntarily with the tools, qualifications or missing experience. This work has benefited 9,000 young graduates. According to its data, there are some 2,800 beneficiaries of WS & FDV, 6,200 beneficiaries of FJIJ. It should be noted that 53% of its graduates are women, 67% have been integrated into employment or internships and 81% remain in their positions after 3 months.
