Organize your work to fight daily stress!

In small doses, stress pushes us to surpass ourselves, without realizing that it could affect our well-being; it is this permanent tension that sets in when it comes to accomplishing a difficult or delicate task. However, stress moderates our actions, because without it we would feel no satisfaction after accomplishing certain tasks.

When stress persists and becomes considerable, it is time for you to sound the alarm. An overload of work can cause stress harmful to health and lead to "burnout". Here are some tips to avoid getting there:

1. Accomplish the most difficult tasks first. Classify tasks by degree of difficulty and execute them in a precise order. If you postpone a difficult or unpleasant task, it will worry you, even if it's just a phone call. On the other hand, once the task is accomplished, you will have a free mind, and you will be ready to accomplish others.

2. Put your tasks and files in order. When you are very busy, you forget. So you must write everything down in a diary, clearly indicating the priorities of the day. It is also important to classify your documents…

3. Don't be too perfectionistic. As your bosses impose tight deadlines, it is rarely possible to refine your work to absolute perfection. So you must know how to allocate a reasonable time to each task.

4. Respect your limits. If your boss gives you a task when you are already overwhelmed, show him your schedule. Let him decide if this new request is more pressing than your other responsibilities (principle of favor).

5. Treat yourself to small pleasures. As our concentration decreases after an hour of work, it is often necessary to take short breaks to recover. You can simply go out for some fresh air or eat a piece of chocolate!
