What are your strengths? The killer question!
Don't worry, there's no trick behind this almost unavoidable question during job interviews. The recruiter is simply trying to understand your personality to see if you are suitable for the position, and above all, they expect intellectual honesty and the ability to reflect on yourself. To prepare, you can always practice with your friends and family, asking them what they think of you.
Be sincere
The recruiter has a good sense of things, so be yourself and don't present yourself in a radically different way from who you are. Also, try to study the position carefully before you present yourself, in order to highlight your qualities that are best suited to the offered position.
If you are looking for a position as an executive assistant, for example, the first quality to highlight is your Super Organization. Don't hesitate to illustrate this with concrete examples.
Furthermore, never forget that adaptability, availability and versatility remain highly appreciated qualities, whatever job you apply for.
What you should avoid
Avoid generic answers such as 'I am motivated and dynamic'. Instead, show your dynamism and motivation by illustrating it with examples such as your initiative or the resolution of a situation.
Some possible answers
Appear humble and modest by starting your sentences, for example, with "people say that I am...", "I am known as..."
- "I certainly don't have much experience yet, but that doesn't prevent me from being mature. In any case, I appreciated having responsibilities during my internships and being able to show my skills.
- "I think I'm easy to get along with. In any case, when I'm in a company, I have no problem building relationships with people I don't know."
