Almost 2960 Tunisian Cooperators Recruited Abroad by ATCT

Almost 2960 Tunisian cooperators, including 31 first-time job seekers, have been recruited abroad as part of technical cooperation, according to Tunisian Technical Cooperation Agency (ATCT) statistics as of November 30, 2014.
These recruitments impacted the education sector with 1416 cooperators (representing 47% of placements), followed by the health sector with 458 recruits, engineering with 288 recruits, and commerce and marketing with 240 recruits, the ATCT specifies in a press release.
Saudi Arabia maintains the top position in recruiting Tunisian skills with 904 cooperators, or 30.5% of total recruitments, including 494 university professors - more than half of Saudi Arabia recruitments.
This country is followed by the United Arab Emirates with 530 recruits and then Qatar with 447 recruits. Thus, Arab countries are the primary beneficiaries with 2397 recruits, or 81%. For this purpose, 73 recruitment committees traveled to Tunisia to interview Tunisian candidates and assess available human resources. According to the same source, the ATCT received 188 job offers.
Regarding bilateral cooperation, 31 Tunisian experts conducted technical assistance missions, including 17 as part of campaigns to combat curable blindness in Burkina Faso, Egypt, and Nigeria.
Experts also conducted 4 missions supporting Djibouti's finance ministry, 2 in legal metrology, 4 with SNIM in Mauritania, 2 assisting the Sultanate of Oman in leadership, and 2 for Niger's Ministry of Professional and Technical Education.
Furthermore, the Agency organized 11 training sessions in Tunisia for 171 executives from 49 African, Arab, and Asian countries in various fields such as taxation, automotive mechanics, research on contagious diseases, solid waste management, digital book publishing, addressing issues related to school publishing and youth in Francophone Africa, and efficient water and energy management in irrigated areas.
According to the ATCT, the total number of Tunisian cooperators working abroad reached 16,165 people as of November 30, 2014.
