Expatriation, secondment of an employee abroad, or recruitment of a foreign worker, you are increasingly having to manage international recruitment situations.
In a context of market opening and globalization, international mobility is a real challenge for your structure and all its components.
Expatriation has long been considered a unique opportunity for the lucky ones! However, we should take the time to question the motivations, ambitions, and challenges involved in this choice for Moroccan skills.
A recent study conducted by The Intelligence Group for The Network and ReKrute, covering more than 162,000 people in 66 countries, including 602 Moroccans, allows us to present the profile of Moroccans attracted to expatriation, as well as their expectations in terms of international mobility.
What are the aspirations and motivations of Moroccans for expatriation?
The primary motivation for Moroccans to embrace new horizons remains salary. Indeed, 69% of candidates do not hesitate to expatriate themselves for an attractive financial offer. Other motivations can also be convincing, such as the search for a new job (3 out of 5 people on average are mobile to another position), but also the attractiveness of sectors where banking is at the top of the list, closely followed by industry.
What are the criteria for choosing an expatriate job, by population?
Moroccans are very fond of international mobility, with a long-term objective and a particular interest in the training they could receive. These leitmotifs propel Moroccans to the top of the list of candidates ready to expatriate. The figures prove it: 86% of them are already on the lookout for "good deals" in the market! It should also be noted, unsurprisingly, that the top 3 destination countries for Moroccans are France (61%, including 43% for Paris alone), Canada (57%, roughly half between Montreal and Quebec), and the USA (47%) for an average period of 3 years.
What is the attractiveness of each country in terms of employment, and for whom?
Here is news that will certainly reassure and delight more than one, especially in these times of extreme economic skepticism!! Morocco remains an attractive destination in the world, especially from countries with a large Moroccan community, but also from other Maghreb countries. It is also interesting to note the following point: The countries most attracted to Morocco are France, Canada, Tunisia, Algeria, and the United States (between 12% and 11%), which together represent about 60% of interest in the Kingdom.
What are the sourcing and job search methods used by Moroccans in the context of international recruitment?
Once again, technology in the service of human capital development will satisfy everyone's expectations! Indeed, 54% of Moroccan respondents use international portals for their international job searches; then come search engines and national employment portals. This enthusiasm for the web should allow you, recruiters, to centralize your searches and maximize your international recruitment.
In short, it is clear that the world of employment has abolished all barriers and is now based on a dynamic of sharing, exchange, and mobility. A member of the Network exclusively representing Morocco and Tunisia since 2008, ReKrute allows you to fully succeed in your international recruitment.
