Writing a cover letter to apply for a training program

You must convince: writing a cover letter to join an initial or continuing education program requires the same care as finding a job. Examples.
Are you looking to enroll in "the" Master's or MBA program that exactly meets your study continuation or resumption needs? Have you identified "the" additional training that exactly meets your needs and will allow you to progress in your position or more easily (re)find a job? Warning: if you dream of it, others have probably applied as well. Don't rush the cover letter under the pretext that it is a formality. Those in charge of the training program want to know, in addition to your initial level, the nature and depth of your interest in their curriculum.

Example of a letter to join a Master's 2:

In initial training...
"Madam, Sir,
Currently completing a Master's 1 in management at the University of (university name), I wish to complete my studies by joining the Master's 2 in Human Resources Management offered by your school. After a Bachelor's degree in Management at (university name) whose concern for multidisciplinarity and the importance given to methodology allowed me to gradually build my project, I wished to deepen the problematic of management in its more specifically human dimension. During these last two years of training, I was able to confront myself with different areas of reflection seen from several angles (sociology, management, project management...) and appreciate the diversity of the backgrounds of both teachers and students, sometimes from the professional world. My professional project has thus been refined, and I have chosen, after my internship at the human resources department of (company name) to continue in this direction. Your Master's program seems to best meet my choice, both in the areas it deepens and in its selection criteria, open to complementary profiles.
I am at your disposal for an interview, I beg you to accept, Madam, Sir, my distinguished greetings."

Comment:
This student shows that the training she chooses is not by chance or out of desperation: she briefly describes her training path to "naturally" arrive at this choice of a very selective Master's program. She knows that about 60% of students admitted to Master's 2 in this school come from one of the "in-house" programs and that the remaining 40% are selected based on criteria of diversity of backgrounds... She therefore insists on this point.

... or in continuing education:
.... "Madam, Sir, Currently employed in the training department of (company name), I wish to develop my career and give it a more "generalist" turn, encompassing other areas of human resources (recruitment, career management...). The Master's 2 in Human Resources Management, very much in line with the professional world, was recommended to me by two human resources managers who graduated from your school; my training project is supported by my company, which has committed to supporting me in my approach (participation in the preparation of the file, time management...).
I am at your disposal for an interview, I beg you to accept, Madam, Sir, my distinguished greetings."

Comment:
It is the same Master's program in both cases, but as an employee, the applicant must reassure, in particular, about the cost of the training and its thoughtful choice.
