Rule 1: Adaptability Adaptability is a fundamental skill that every business leader must possess. You must be able to adapt to your staff, but above all, to the various situations that will arise within the company and that you will need to manage.
Rule 2: Be Pragmatic The leader must learn to find the right balance between an exaggerated assertion of their leadership and an effaced presence. To achieve this, you must be influential and charismatic.
Rule 3: Be Respectful Despite their hierarchical superiority, the leader must respect the rules and procedures of the business world. It is your duty to lead by example, especially if you demand that your employees respect internal rules. Without this, you can never establish your authority.
Rule 4: Diplomacy The leader must approach their activity with diplomacy and be able to put themselves in the other person's shoes. You must be able to be calm and conciliatory towards your employees and colleagues.
Rule 5: Listen to Others The leader must be attentive to others, accept the viewpoints of their employees and colleagues, and encourage dialogue. You must therefore be empathetic and learn to "listen" and not just "hear".
Rule 6: Inspire Confidence For optimal adherence, the leader must inspire confidence in their colleagues. It is essential that you are honest, impartial, and act ethically towards your colleagues.
Rule 7: Act with Humility A good leader must remain humble and not abuse their authority. You must be modest, know how to question yourself when necessary, and not over-promote yourself.
Rule 8: Perseverance A leader must be able to manage their stress in difficult situations to lead by example. Be patient and don't get discouraged in the face of difficulties.
Rule 9: Anticipation One of the qualities of a leader is the ability to anticipate. You must be intuitive to be able to seize the opportunities that will advance your company.
Rule 10: Creativity Finally, the leader must constantly be innovative. To do this, you must be curious and always one step ahead. This will inspire respect from your colleagues. It is a matter of your reputation and the future of the company. We hope that with this advice, you will quickly become a respected and appreciated leader, while remaining yourself.
