Attijariwafa bank has awarded prizes to 25 winners of a competition for top engineering schools in Morocco. This action is part of the Attijariwafa bank foundation's program to support these students.
Attijariwafa bank recently awarded prizes to 25 winners of a competition for top Moroccan engineering schools. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, December 19th, in Casablanca.
The ceremony was attended by Mohamed El Kettani, CEO of Attijariwafa bank, Driss Benhima, CEO of RAM, Hamid Belfdil, director of the CRI of Casablanca, and other figures from the education world. "This event is part of the Attijariwafa bank foundation's program. We are very proud to award prizes today to 25 winners from top Moroccan schools who succeeded amongst 1500 students," said Mr. El Kettani. "The only challenge hindering our country's development is the availability of human resources in terms of quality and quantity," he added.
"Today, Morocco has the necessary skills; we just need to support and encourage them to move forward." Indeed, most of the young people are from Marrakech, Safi, Casablanca, and Oujda. Mr. El Kettani awarded the first and second prizes to Belkayed Zoubier from Marrakech (admitted to the Hassania School of Public Works - EHTP) and Mohamed Namiz from Marrakech (also admitted to EHTP), respectively. Abdelhakim Charaf from Casablanca, admitted to the Mohammadia School of Engineers, won third place. These winners also expressed their joy and pride in these awards. A winning student, Yassine Bekourra, thanked those present on behalf of his classmates. "We thank the Attijariwafa bank group for their support throughout the competition. We also thank all those who supported us," this winner specified. Furthermore, this event follows the awarding of prizes on October 9th in Paris to the top students in the entrance exams for French and Moroccan engineering schools: Polytechnique, Mines, Ponts et Chaussées, Centrale, Télécom, Supélec.
This event took place at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Paris. It was also attended by the Moroccan ambassador to France, Fathallah.
