It's almost vacation time! This is good news overall, but when it comes to managing all the vacation requests that arrive at the same time, it's no longer fun at all. Especially since Ramadan falls in August, everyone will want to leave in July!
It's up to you to take the lead and establish rules to avoid conflicts and make this vacation period go as well as possible for everyone.
Launch vacation requests:
Launch summer vacation requests early enough; this will give you enough leeway when it comes to reviewing or modifying each other's schedules. Waiting until the last minute will mean that your employees will have already planned their vacations and confirmed their reservations.
Make them responsible:
If you want to offer your clients uninterrupted service, raise awareness among your teams. Present your problem to them and invite them to consult with each other and establish a vacation schedule so that it does not affect the quality of your services and services.
Get organized:
If you feel that despite this the workload will remain too high, nothing prevents you from recruiting a person or intern who could lighten the workload. On the other hand, why not raise awareness among your customers and encourage them to place orders in advance, trying to know their action and order schedule in advance? Ideally, launch, early enough, well before the holidays, an action plan that will allow you to organize yourself well and better manage this turbulent period. Especially since in the coming years, Ramadan will continue to fall during the holiday period; this will be increasingly difficult to manage.
Everyone needs a vacation:
Your teams need to recharge their batteries, take a break, in order to ensure better performance. No one can be at their best continuously; you need to know how to take a break when your body can no longer cope. Organize for others and don't forget yourself either.
Happy vacations!
