Tunisia – Germany: €4.5 million to promote employment.

In the presence of Kamel Bennacer, Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, and Andreas Reinicke, the German Ambassador to Tunisia, a contract for a technical cooperation program was signed today in Tunis between Tunisia and the Federal Republic of Germany. The objective of this contract is to improve employment in jointly selected regions and the development of value chains and sectors.
It also aims to facilitate the introduction of new management methods and the development of processes and product innovation in the chosen sectors, as well as improving career guidance in universities.
Through this contract, Germany will provide GIZ with a maximum of €4.5 million for the German contribution. This amount includes the costs incurred by the German organization for the program start-up.
As for the Tunisian side, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines provides the project with qualified operational partners, who will be its technical interlocutors for a jointly responsible execution of the project.
