Jendouba: Development of new industrial zones
Work has begun on the development of a new industrial zone, "Ertiah," in northern Jendouba.
This zone covers an area of 35 hectares, 7 of which will be made available to the Japanese company "Sumitomo" for its project to produce electrical cables and automotive components.
Furthermore, the redevelopment of the industrial zones of Boussalem, Tabarka, and Jendouba has begun. The total cost of these projects, which cover a total area of 30 hectares, is estimated at 1.9 million dinars.
In the delegation of Bulla-Regia, nearly 53 hectares have been developed for the creation of a technology park.
Jendouba: Increased water reserves in dams
The significant rainfall in the Jendouba region, particularly in Ain Draham and Boussalem, has increased the volume of water stored in the dams to 157.3 million cubic meters, or 55% of their capacity.
The reserves of the Barbara dam have been estimated at 74 million cubic meters, compared to 26 million cubic meters in Beni Mtir, 38 million cubic meters in Bouhertma, and 19 million cubic meters in the Zarga dam (Tabarka).
Zaghouan: Positive employment indicators
In 2008, the regional plan for promoting employment and business creation in the Zaghouan region succeeded in providing jobs for 8880 people.
Among the beneficiaries, 1350 were university graduates, with 664 directly integrated into businesses and 250 under a government program covering part of their salary.
Regarding private initiatives, 188 people, including 25 university graduates, chose to create their own projects, taking advantage of various business creation incentives.
Médenine: New measures organizing water sports
The Médenine regional water sports committee has undertaken a series of measures to organize water activities and ensure the safety of water sports enthusiasts and tourists.
Training sessions will be organized for sector managers in first aid, meteorology, and maritime law. Control teams will also be deployed permanently.
The Médenine region has 46 water sports centers spread between Zarzis, Djerba, Midoune, and Houmet Essouk.
This infrastructure fully contributes to enriching the tourism product, in addition to its role in creating income sources.
Le Kef: 358 projects in 2008
The Le Kef region recorded the completion of 358 projects in various production sectors in 2008, with a budget of around 28 million dinars.
These projects generated 703 jobs. They mainly include the creation of a craft group in Tajerouine, a milk collection center in Sers, a mechanical industry unit in Jerissa, and a used battery recycling unit in Sakièt.
Other projects, requiring investments of around 31.615 million dinars, are still under construction.
These involve the creation of oil and mineral water packaging units, tomato drying, medical glove manufacturing, and cement block production.
The value of these projects, which will generate more than 200 jobs, is estimated at 31.615 million dinars.
