A happy employee is a more productive employee.

On average, cheerful people are 10 to 12% more productive than unhappy people, according to a British study.

Happiness in the workplace... A program that is sometimes difficult to implement. However, companies have every interest in cultivating the good humor of their employees. A new study conducted by three researchers from the University of Warwick in England has once again demonstrated this. To conduct their experiment, they gave tests to 700 subjects.
One group had to remember bad memories, scenes of arguments or recent bereavements. The second group received chocolates and watched funny clips. Then, both groups answered the same timed math test. Result: the people conditioned to be happy answered faster but especially more accurately to the test. A performance 10 to 12% higher...

Examples of Google and EY
To support their thesis, the researchers also interviewed HR managers from two large companies known for their productivity and work environment: Google and EY (formerly Ernst & Young).
For Lara Hardling, director of programs for people: "We know that health, family and well-being are an important aspect of the lives of Googlers. We have also noticed that happy employees have stronger motivation." A point of view confirmed by Mathew Thomas, director of EY. According to him, physical and mental health and the well-being of employees are necessary. "It is only from these solid foundations that they can then manage complex issues." As Pharell Williams claims in his hit Happy: "Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth"! Food for thought...
