The first half of 2014 was marked, in the governorate of Kebili, by the completion of private projects that created several jobs, according to statistics from the regional development department.
Data obtained Thursday by the TAP agency correspondent in the region show that 107 projects out of a total of 159 category A projects approved during the first half of 2014 were completed with total investments of over 300,000 dinars.
For its part, the Tunisian Solidarity Bank (BTS) financed, during the same period, 169 private projects, out of a total of 255 approved by the BTS, with an investment volume of nearly 2 million dinars (MDT), creating 242 jobs.
The same data indicate that the Bank for Financing Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (BFPME) approved the completion of three private projects during this semester, only one of which was completed with investments of around 2.717 MDT, creating 40 jobs.
In addition, 52 projects were launched in the industrial and service sectors, with an investment volume of nearly 2 MDT, creating 293 job opportunities.
Two other projects are underway in the tourism sector and will create 100 jobs, while 14 projects in the same sector are completing procedures to obtain permits to start the project, which should in principle guarantee 400 jobs.
The data also review a number of projects within the framework of category B and C investments, with 38 projects completed for a total investment volume exceeding 1.4 MDT, creating 18 jobs.
Furthermore, the National Crafts Fund financed, during the first quarter of 2014, 31 projects for investments of around 1 MDT, generating 40 jobs.
It also financed 41 other projects during the second quarter of 2014 with investments of 1.357 MDT, creating 54 jobs.
