1. Sort out the useful from the useless
Generally, an employer only spends a few seconds reading a resume. You must therefore improve your chances by highlighting your skills that are suited to the position you are aiming for.
You are now back to square one and you need to update your resume. The first step is to sort through the useful and the useless and keep only the elements relevant to the targeted position. You have certainly gained more experience and probably followed other training courses since writing your last resume.
2. The same approach as the job search
When you redo your resume, don't fall into laziness, which automatically leads to adding a line in the "Professional Experience" section or changing a few dates. You should redo the same process you initially undertook when looking for your first job; namely, review your entire career, and go through your resume step by step.
Indeed, the experiences you have had have certainly changed your professional projects and ambitions, elements that seemed useless at the time may now be decisive for your new career plan.
3. A detail can change everything
Don't be afraid to detail, the difference between several candidates is sometimes made on a detail. At each step, specify the position held, the tasks performed, the responsibilities assumed, the missions entrusted and why not a brief report of the results you have obtained...
We can say that it is a real makeover of your resume, you will shape it and adapt it according to the position you are aiming for.
