Job :

1. Main mission: Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager's main mission is the management and development of the farms.

2. Main responsibilities and activities

- Technical management and agricultural production
• Develop and implement the annual production plan.
• Plan agricultural work according to the cultivation calendar.
• Supervise soil preparation, seeding, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting operations.
• Monitor crop health and prevent diseases and pests.
• Optimize the use of water, fertilizers, plant protection products, and other inputs.
• Control the quality and yields of production.
• Ensure the maintenance of agricultural facilities, equipment, and machinery.
• Introduce agricultural techniques to improve the productivity and sustainability of the farm.

- Human capital management
• Organize and distribute work among employees and farm laborers.
• Develop work schedules and manage seasonal labor needs.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and the quality of work performed.
• Ensure discipline and compliance with instructions.
• Guarantee compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene rules.

- Administrative and financial prevention and optimization
• Develop the farm's annual budget.
• Monitor expenses and income.
• Control production costs and look for cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee the purchase of inputs, equipment, and supplies.
• Control stock and inventories.
• Supervise invoicing, payments, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare administrative documents and management reports.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners.

- Product marketing and farm development
• Organize the marketing of agricultural products.
• Develop relationships with cooperatives, distributors, and customers.
• Propose investment and development projects for the farm.

- Preservation and maintenance of infrastructure

• Ensure the good condition of farm buildings, irrigation systems, and equipment.

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure the protection of the farm's assets and resources.
• Ensure good management of natural resources and environmental protection.

Profile sought

Education

• Agricultural engineer, specialized technician in agriculture, or agricultural technician.
• Additional training in business management or management desirable.
Work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the agricultural sector.
• Proven experience in managing or supervising a farm.
• Experience in managing permanent and seasonal teams.

Technical skills

• Good command of crop and/or animal production techniques depending on the activity.
• Knowledge of irrigation and fertilization systems.
• Knowledge of financial principles and budget management.
• Proficiency in computer tools (Excel, Word, and management software).
• Knowledge of safety standards, hygiene, and good agricultural practices.
