Psychological tests are measuring tools used in many fields. These tests can be used by companies for future hiring, by psychologists to better understand a patient, etc.
To complete these tests, you must provide a certain number of answers, most often multiple choice, within a more or less limited time. But remember that these psychological tests can only be a general aid whose purpose is to give some indications about the person you are.
There are different types of psychological tests: intelligence tests, which are always to be performed quickly, are most often coherence tests. Through these intelligence tests, the intelligence quotient, commonly called IQ, is most often defined. It is good to know that an average IQ is around 100, but that it can range between 50 and 155. Memory, understanding, reasoning, deduction are put to the test during these tests. To succeed in these tests, it is important to read and understand the instructions as best as possible.
Personality tests: they are mainly used to know your behavior in different situations. Not very objective, these tests can, however, depending on the answers given, be detrimental when it comes to a job search, because you should not necessarily only give good answers. Admitting your mistakes is something a company may appreciate, as it is a matter of honesty! So answer objectively, even if you only think about the question: "Are you always smiling?", you must answer: yes of course!
Situational judgment tests, aptitude tests and knowledge tests are directly related to job searching.
