Have you read Corinne Maier's book "Hello Laziness"? It's subtitled "On the art and necessity of doing as little as possible in a company"... Quite a program.
She describes the world of large companies and its ruthless side, with its corporate jargon, rigged games, scams, and idiots (sic) that one encounters... and advocates complete disengagement, a lack of responsibility, and... laziness with total impunity.
She must not know SMEs where each employee is truly operational, truly indispensable. She must not know the love of a job well done, the satisfaction of a completed task, the useful contribution to the company's objectives.
Her book lacks lucidity, discernment.
A company is neither a concentration camp nor a place of collective fulfillment. It is a place where everyone respects their contract. The company has objectives, provides resources to its employees, pays salaries, and expects in return a job well done (and not just 35 hours...).
The role of the manager and leaders is to harmonize everything, to ensure that everything runs smoothly. That's all!
Discernment allows one to relativize management styles and the behavior of the zealous and the slackers, which are merely epiphenomena.
Disappointments will thus be avoided, as will this pamphlet by Mrs. Maier which reminds me of La Fontaine's fable in which the fox, who vainly tries to snatch grapes that are too high up, exclaims "finally, they are too green, and good for only scoundrels"...
That said, the merit of such a work is to draw attention to the unhappiness of some people in the company, at the expense of...
