Managing your relationship with your boss effectively: this is a topic often considered delicate, even taboo. Discussing how you collaborate with your boss is not part of our culture, although it is now essential for more efficient and productive work. Reduced stress levels, increased self-confidence and greater respect from colleagues... these are all influenced by a balanced and harmonious relationship with the boss of the company in which you work. Many of you will argue that it is an "unachievable goal". However, this is quite possible if you keep in mind that a good relationship with your boss does not mean a close personal relationship with them. They remain your boss, and therefore your superior. It is simply a matter of creating a sufficiently productive level of interaction to achieve your respective professional goals. To do this, management professionals give one key instruction: "pay attention to what is happening around you". It may seem easy to conclude that you are completely different from your boss, even to the point of drawing hasty conclusions. Instead, try to form your own vision of the model employee. The perfect employee. Far from the technique of zeal, forging a personality at work and developing qualities that raise you to the rank of perfect employee is the work that every employee must do to present added value to the company, and indirectly to the boss. But you still need to know what idea your boss has of the ideal employee, and to what extent you can match it. If you really think that your job perfectly matches your ambitions and that it is worth developing the corresponding qualities, look for mentors who will help you better meet your boss's expectations. If there is a gap between your vision of the model employee and that of your superior, coaches are almost unanimous on the "need to clearly understand the problem and the gap". For example, if your boss's stress stems from pressure from above, try to address this problem by producing rigorous, quality work. Know that a more satisfied boss will have more energy to devote to your needs, and will therefore be more likely to meet your professional expectations.
