Your job doesn't make you want to get up anymore?
Does your job drain you?
It's not always easy to change jobs, especially in a difficult economic climate. You will find below several tips to motivate yourself to work and overcome this situation.
Step 1:
Make a list of the positive and negative aspects of your work. It's a safe bet that the first list will be shorter than the second, but make an effort to find a few things you like. This could be colleagues you get along with, your pay, or even a dish in the cafeteria! Be imaginative! It's impossible to hate everything in your work environment. By focusing on these aspects in the morning, you might manage to arrive at work smiling. Even if your smile seems forced at first, it creates positive chemistry in the brain and your body will be better disposed to work well.
Step 2:
Identify some irritants to eliminate or reduce, in collaboration with your team. Also, with simple gestures, you can brighten up your work environment. If company policies allow, transform your office into a place that reflects you, by placing photos, flowers, plants, decorative objects, etc.
Furthermore, some changes in your life outside of work can help alleviate your situation:
First, adopt a stable sleep schedule.
Start the week with a pleasant activity.
Share your lunch with people you enjoy, at the office or outside.
Take a walk to get some oxygen, listen to your favorite music on your way to work rather than the news,
etc.
Tip:
Usually, routine and monotony cause more stress and develop a feeling of disgust in the face of a lack of creativity and intellectual activity that make each task a challenge and therefore a pleasure to repeat.
If your work is routine, enhance it by asking your supervisor to assign you tasks that require creativity and reflection.
