How to Introduce Yourself in Two Minutes?

Often, recruiters start the interview with the famous: "Introduce yourself!" From that moment, you have a few minutes to remember who you are in commercial terms and make a good impression.
Not easy? Indeed. So, think about preparing in advance.
Work on your presentation.
Being impactful, unique and perfectly matching the position, these are the objectives. The better you master the basics (presentation, knowledge of the company, understanding of the offered position), the better you will be able to find the adequate and satisfactory speech.
Before going for this interview, take stock of your professional background, your short and medium-term career project, and your refined vision of the position you are applying for. Leave nothing to chance. The more you understand these points, the better equipped you will be to allow yourself room for maneuver in terms of discussion, dialogue, and questions to provoke.
Warning: this is in no way, and under no circumstances, about justifying yourself or going into boring details, but rather about confidently showing that you have traveled a certain path, or even a specific path.
Also think about collecting information about the person interviewing you, if possible. Look at their training and background, by consulting the company's website or existing professional networks, such as LinkedIn, for example. It will then be quite easy for you to build your speech by relying on these founding elements.
Make the recruiter want to know more about you.
As we said above, you have a few minutes to make your recruiter want to know you better, to go further. Emphasize the interesting parts of your journey and know how to highlight your successes, without presumption or vanity, however.
Once again, here, think about practicing beforehand, refining your speech at home, by repeating it to your loved ones, the idea being to be able to state this information naturally.
Start by stating your identity without rambling, without delving into your private life. For example, there is no need to emphasize your status as a parent before being asked. Wait for the question to come from the other side to answer it, knowing that you will have already considered the question at home!
Continue with your professional presentation. You can mention your initial training before mentioning the major and formative stages of your career.
Highlight the common thread of your career. There is necessarily one. Know how to talk about it with modesty but confidence.
Conclude your presentation by explaining what naturally leads you to this offered position, by making the link between your skills and those required. The better these two points fit together, the more chances you have of succeeding.
