Ramadan: Balancing Fasting and Productivity!

For the fourth consecutive year, Ramadan falls in the summer. With the summer heat and long days, fasting can be even more difficult to manage for those who have chosen to work during this period.
It's a fact that fasting leads to fatigue, lack of energy, and lack of sleep!

All of these factors can affect productivity in the workplace. Of course, as a manager, you are aware of this reality, especially since you are also fasting. However, it is essential that you factually understand these operating methods in order to manage and lead your teams with serenity and efficiency.

That is why ReKrute.com, driven by the desire to reveal the most emblematic behaviors of Moroccan employees during Ramadan, conducted a survey on "the habits of Moroccans at work during the month of Ramadan".

Targeting all registered users on the site, regardless of their profile, this survey aimed to shed light on the habits of Moroccans during Ramadan and study the changes that may impact the way professionals work during this period.

678 people kindly answered this survey, and as you will see, the results are sometimes surprising and challenge clichés and preconceived ideas.

No, fasting doesn't really impact productivity!

While many believe that fasting leads to lethargy, it seems that, according to the responses of many respondents, this is not the case. Indeed, 54% of those surveyed say that their productivity does not decrease during Ramadan.

No, fasting Moroccan workers haven't lost their professionalism!

Indeed, 33% of respondents confirm that they work after breaking their fast. This should reassure managers who might worry about schedules not being respected during these shorter working days.

Yes, Moroccan employees know how to organize themselves to maintain optimal productivity!

Aware of the good habits to adopt during this month, 56% prioritize their important activities in the morning.

Yes, Moroccan employees prefer to work during Ramadan!

80% responded that they do not wish to take leave. Staying active allows them to keep their minds occupied and feel the effects of fasting less.

No, productivity doesn't vary according to the seasons!

One might have thought that lack of energy and dynamism was a consequence of hot periods. But only 30% of respondents say they are more productive in autumn and winter.

Equally productive, active, aware of their professional responsibilities, able to organize themselves proactively... it seems that Moroccan employees are doing everything possible to minimize the impact of fasting and fatigue on their work behavior.

Certainly the days are long, the temperatures high, but life goes on... and so does work!
