You have very little time to prepare for the meeting... Here is our express advice for a tight countdown.
1. Complete your company information. Whether you responded to a job offer or applied spontaneously, you have probably already researched the company beforehand. But your level of information may be too superficial. Visit the company website to have some key figures in mind and to be able to speak confidently about its activity and news.
2. Reread the job offer. A priori, you have sufficiently deciphered it when you answered it. But go over it again, so that you can remember its content, the required skills and the scope of the position. In this way, you will be able to better think about the arguments that will convince your interviewer.
3. Prepare questions. Not asking questions during an interview is never a great sign of motivation. A few examples:
About the position itself and the prospects it offers: In which team will you work, who will be your main contacts within the company? Is it a new position? What are the possible evolutions?
About the work environment: Who does the department depend on? Who sets the objectives?
About the company itself: What is the medium-term strategy? And possibly, what about the reorganization that was recently discussed in the press?
4. Think about the practical aspects. Remember to prepare a CV, a copy of your cover letter and a small notebook if you wish to take notes. Also find your route, check the route and the time it will take you to travel and allow yourself a little extra margin. This will avoid extra stress by arriving 15 minutes late.
5. Motivate yourself. Before leaving for the interview, give yourself a little self-motivation session to build a winner's mindset. Remember that if you were contacted for an interview in such a short time, it is because your profile has caught their attention and the position needs to be filled urgently. You therefore have every chance. If you are particularly tense, take the time to relax by taking a walk, a little shopping session or a break with a friend.
