6 Lessons for Boosting Productivity

"It's not the quantity that matters, but the quality." Everyone knows it, everyone repeats it. So. And at work, more than anywhere else, it's not about staying at your desk until 10 PM, but rather about working quickly and well, briefly but accurately.
1. Avoid "Procrastination"
Definition: A tendency to delay, to postpone a task until later.
No, there's no use delaying the chore, spending your day postponing that unpleasant and/or anxiety-provoking task that obsesses you. On the contrary. Start your day by doing what discourages you the most. This will allow you to start your day with a victory and will motivate you significantly and durably.
2. Work During Your Productive Hours
Everyone has their hours of efficiency and high productivity as well as their hours of decreased performance.
If you learn and take the time to identify your cycles, your "up and down" moments, you can then more easily build your schedule (and stick to it).
3. Set Specific Goals
To be quick and efficient, to maintain maximum motivation, define your goals precisely (e.g., complete this file, write the email to Mr. V., do the minutes of the meeting on the 10th…) and do not stop working until your targets are reached.
Also consider knowing exactly, at the moment you leave work, what you will start your next day with. This will allow you to save a significant amount of time.
4. Group Tasks
Make groups of things to do. Put together phone calls to make, emails to send, appointments to make, and organize yourself to handle all of this at the same time. In other words, limit your intellectual scattering.
5. Start Early
Our grandmothers used to say: "the world belongs to those who get up early." And it's not wrong. Getting up around 6 am and getting to it allows many to have accomplished more by 8 am than some do in a full workday. Indeed, at this time, the calm and clarity of mind help to speed up the completion of chores.
6. Be "Here and Now"
A tired, worried, or lovesick mind will wander, daydream. And reread the same article twenty times without understanding a single word. Master your thoughts, learn not to let them wander and stray from the moment and place X. Postpone your personal worries to your lunch break, close Facebook, turn off your mobile phone, disable Wifi/network, isolate yourself (park, garden, cafeteria) and get started!
Good luck!
