Stress is a normal part of life; it motivates effort and improves performance. But too much stress is bad for your physical and mental health. Stress in the workplace is very costly: reduced productivity due to decreased motivation.
Companies should prioritize stress management by teaching employees how to manage their emotions, maintain a healthy lifestyle, interpret situations according to certain life rules, improve their communication (relationships), and be assertive.
However, simply attending a training session isn't enough to manage stress; it's a daily practice that allows for the assimilation of techniques. 8 tips to stay ZEN every day:
1. Learn to rest
Don't try to constantly push your limits; that's how you end up breaking down. Pay attention to the signals your body sends you.
2. Better manage your time
You can't work 30 hours a day! Make priority lists and stick to them.
3. Respect your biological clock
Our bodies are governed by biological rhythms. Learn to identify your peak and low energy times. Consider this when scheduling important appointments or difficult tasks.
4. Reduce stimulants
Tobacco depletes your vitamin C reserves and causes poor cellular oxygenation. The same is true for alcohol, which, when consumed regularly, disrupts the body's elimination functions.
5. Oxygenate your cells
The best way to fight stress and fatigue is to work on your breathing. To do this, get regular physical activity two to three times a week.
6. Don't forget breaks
Every two hours, take a few minutes to gather your energy and change activities, alternating, if possible, between manual and intellectual tasks.
7. Treat yourself
Allow yourself at least one small selfish pleasure each day to relieve tension.
8. Enjoy simple pleasures
