It’s only been a few days since you returned, but reality is already setting in: work resumes, Ramadan, back-to-school shopping… Gradually, your calendar fills up, and the sound of your phone, which you were just starting to forget, is also making its comeback. It’s difficult to get back into the swing of things after a welcome break, especially since you haven’t yet found your own cruising rhythm! And yet, your status as a team leader requires you to set an example and quickly remotivate your colleagues. Here are a few tips for an optimized return!
Allow a few days’ adaptation period, but once that’s over, you must again be firm and demand that everyone gives their best. This involves setting strict deadlines, frequently checking in with them to find out their progress.
Organize a team meeting or a back-to-work seminar to redefine September’s priorities, set the course again, and announce upcoming deadlines and challenges.
Use all the tools at your disposal to remotivate the troops, because intelligently directed pressure is a powerful motivator. Of course, this isn’t about breaking the teams, but simply about making them understand that the holidays are over and that things are resuming their normal, serious course. And if you’re just as involved as they are, the message will be all the more effective.
And why not organize an Iftar outside to celebrate the first successful mission, a way to remind them that office life can also lead to pleasant events.
Happy return to work and Happy Ramadan.
