Your resume is impeccable, well-formatted. You highlighted your achievements during your last experience. The content is controlled, lively and yet you were not selected, not even got an interview.
Have you thought about your cover letter? Did you write and refine it with as much application and rigor as your resume? It would seem not, and that's the mistake not to make. Many people take a long time to write their resume and bungle their cover letter.
Some mistakes to avoid when writing yours:
Wrong format
Avoid sending your letter in the body of the email. It often lacks information about the recipient of the mail, the sender, the date is not indicated. Your letter must maintain a formal presentation and must be attached.
Talking only about yourself
Your letter is certainly there to highlight you, but also to show your desire and motivation to join the company. Don't hesitate to state the reasons that lead you to apply, try to make sure that they are in line with the company's activity sector.
Mistakes!
Grammatical errors are simply prohibitive for a good part of recruiters, or even the majority. This shows a lack of seriousness and involvement or even incompetence.
You must always reread your cover letter before sending it and do not hesitate to have it reread by your entourage, because sometimes you are so involved that you do not take enough distance and consequently mistakes go unnoticed.
Letters that are too long
Recruiters are overwhelmed with applications, their time is therefore precious. Be concise but convincing. Your letter should not exceed four paragraphs and should fit on a single page.
Generic letters
Personalize your letter according to the company. It is clear that it is easier to write a letter and adapt it later, but recruiters quickly sense that this same letter is not personally addressed to them. Try to personalize your speech according to their problems, you will attract much more attention.
